Coming from a third-generation family of San Antonio roofers, Jose Gonzalez understands the importance of a well-installed roof. For over 20 years and going strong, Jose has continued his family tradition by completing residential and commercial roofing projects throughout Texas.
This experience allowed Jose to work alongside his father, who began roofing in 1979. During this time, Jose learned about and installed a wide range of roofs. This passion for roofing led Jose to continue in his father’s footsteps.
Since 2002, Jose has installed roofs on retail properties, government bases, schools, apartments, and many other locations throughout Texas. In 2007, Jose started a business called J Gonzalez Roofing Remodeling. This business allowed Jose to further expand his knowledge and skills, branching out into professional interior and exterior remodeling projects. From minor repairs to complete room additions, J Gonzalez completed many types of renovation work.
Before starting Maxis Contractors Group, Jose completed roofing projects for some of the most prestigious buildings in Texas. In 2009, Jose spent his time completing roofing projects for the North East Independent School District (NEISD) in San Antonio, Texas. He also spent time installing a clay relay tile system at Randolph Air Force Base. Other projects Jose completed during this span included:
1. Completing modified roofing projects for shopping centers
Installing shingle roofs on apartments and other multi-unit buildings
2. Placing hot mop modified roofs on properties throughout South Padre Island.
In 2015, Jose Gonalez established his company: Maxis Contractors Group, LLC. This NCCER and OSHA-certified company began specializing in residential and commercial construction.
During this time, Jose began working closely with business owners and property management companies to work on commercial properties. He also began working with TPO, PVC, and coating systems that are both affordable and extremely energy efficient.
